Who We Are

A non-profit organization dedicated to making the internet safer for every Bangladeshi — from children to elders.

Born from a Need to Protect

NIRA Foundation (Nirapod Internet Risk Awareness) was founded by a group of Bangladeshi tech professionals, educators, and community leaders who witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of online scams, cyberbullying, and digital illiteracy on families across the country.

We recognized that while internet access was rapidly expanding — particularly through mobile devices — internet safety education was not keeping pace. Vulnerable populations including children, elderly, and rural communities were being disproportionately affected.

Operated under NIRA-TRUST (Nirapod Internet Responsibility & User Safety Trust), our foundation brings together volunteers, educators, cybersecurity experts, and community organizations to bridge this critical gap.
